Design work for improvements to the heating and ventilation <br /> system vas awarded to Engineering Company, Inc. of canton, <br /> MA. <br /> Ouashnet Schools: <br /> 1. Carpeting was removed from 14 classrooms at the Quashnet <br /> River School. 'Ten of these rooms had concrete floor underneath <br /> and neer VCT floor*ng was installed. Four classrooms had <br /> existing VCT flooring underneath that was cleaned and <br /> refinished. This completes the removal of carpetingin .1 <br /> classrooms at the Quashnet Malley school. <br /> 2. Rubber flooring was completed at two of the three entry areas. <br /> 3. Three rooftop Hyl units and one rooftop HVAC unit are in place <br /> and running. Balancing work (fine tuning of air flow) should be <br /> completed this week. <br /> .- lath School: <br /> 1. The high school building committee approved site <br /> improvements to correct erosion problems at the treatment <br /> plant parking area. King Landscape has been hired to do the <br /> work. <br /> The athletic fields are in good condition and the lines will be <br /> painted on September 5, 1997. <br /> S stern-Nide; <br /> 1. Work has been completed on the 1995 GMC maintenance truck <br /> (plow f came utility body and towing package). The vehicle will <br /> e delivered sometime during the next two weeks. <br /> 7.6 Professional Development calculations - Dr. DeMoura <br /> explained that after discussions with Jeff Wulfson, Financial <br /> Officer at the Department of Education, Mashpee's professional <br /> development calculation is as follows: <br /> October 1, 1997 enrollment for students in pre-K through Grade <br /> 12 (including Falmouth) tines $75.00, the formula for FY 98 is: <br /> 1,846 students x $75 = $138,450 <br />
