The schools' projected enrollments were as follows: <br /> Coombs School - 512 <br /> Quashnet Valley School - 439 <br /> Quashnet River School -- 351 <br /> 1lashpee High school - 526 <br /> Falmouth High School - 160 <br /> 1,988 total enrollments <br /> Ms. Macdonald expressed concern over the legitimacy of some Mashpee <br /> residents. Discussion followed o the procedures taken during neer <br /> resident registering children in the school system. <br /> 3. Projected Enrollments - FY99 <br /> Discussion followed on additional classes in grades 5 in the Quashnet <br /> Valley School for next year. <br /> Board of Selectmen and Finance Committee Comments <br /> Finance Committee liaison Nancy Goulart asked if student fees could be <br /> charged for students participating in after--school sports programs: Mrs. <br /> Lynch said the majority of students cannot afford to pay activity fees. <br /> Board of Selectmen liaison Keri Ma sters said he and Ms. Go lart are <br /> attending these budget meetings to learn the budget process of the <br /> School Department. They will have questions and comments by the <br /> December or January budget meetings. <br /> In other business, Mrs. Lynch said there will be a R.A.G,E. press <br /> conference on Tuesday, September 23, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. in the <br /> Barnstable Town Hall. <br /> Whore will be a High School Building Committee meeting on Wednesday, <br /> September 24, 1997 at 4:00 p.m. <br />
