t <br /> MASH EE SCHOOL COMMITTEE - REGULAR MEETING - OCTOBER 2 , 1997 IMAGE <br /> .1 A la Carte Prices - Dr. DeMoura briefed the Committee on <br /> the a la carte price increases. Food Service Director Linda barren <br /> said these prices have remained the same for seven years. It was <br /> decided that Dr. I el Moura Will provide the Committee with yearly <br /> updates on a la carte prices. <br /> 7.3 Enrollments - ]fir. DeMoura informed the Committee that <br /> there are currently 1,979 students in preschool-Grade 12. <br /> 7.4 Facilities Report - School Facilities Supervisor Don Cook <br /> updated the Committee on school issues. They were as follows: <br /> Coombs School: <br /> new high-speed buffer was purchased to maintain the floor finish <br /> applied over the summer. <br /> R <br /> QuashnetSchoo Is Coombs School: <br /> Johnson wax demonstrated a cleaning products mixing system for <br /> each custodial closet. This system would replace the existing set <br /> up located at the rear of each building. <br /> ffigh School: <br /> The maintenance staff has the stadium field measured and painted <br /> for the two remaining dome football games. The landscaping <br /> contractor will level any uneven areas and remove any rocks or <br /> debris from the,playing field. <br /> Floor the stains have been noticed on the ground-level floor. Mr-. i <br /> Cook met with representatives fromJohnson wax to determine the <br /> cause of the staining. Cleaning products have been used to <br /> remove these stains but without success. <br /> gystem-wide: <br /> Snow removal equipment is ready for the winter. <br /> Mrs. Lynch expressed concern over the size of the Quashnet <br /> Schools' cafeterias tables. She feel they are too large for the <br /> kindergarten children. she suggested looking into purchasing ag - <br /> appropriate seating. <br />
