MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE <br /> SPECIAL MEETING <br /> MARCH 1 , 1998 <br /> Minutes <br /> Attendees: Nice Chairwoman Theresa Cool, Maryanne Macdonald, Janice ' <br /> Mills, and Stephen Paxton. Chairwoman Kathleen Lynch arrived at 7:20 p.m. <br /> Also in attendance was Superintendent of Schools Dir. Lincoln A. DeMo ra. ' <br /> 1. Call'Meeting to Order - Mrs. Cooly called the meeting to order at 7:07 <br /> p.m. in high school room B 103. <br /> 2, Summer School - Dr. DeMoura discussed the Summer r School course <br /> tuitions. After much discussion, it was decided that the high school <br /> courses will cost $125.00 and will run for one-and-orae-half hours in <br /> length while the elementary school courses will be for 45 minutes. There <br /> must be a minimum of 1 students per class in order to hold the course. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by Ms. Macdonald, to accept the <br /> revised tuition rate and minimum amount of student enrollments per <br /> class for the 1998 Surer School program. <br /> Mr. Paxton if some families have not paid for last year. Dr. DeMoura <br /> responded, "fires." Any families interested in attending Summer School <br /> will be required to pad prior to the class commencing. <br /> After more discussion, Mrs. Mills rescinded her earlier motion and Ms. <br /> Macdonald rescinded her second of that motion. <br /> Mrs. Mills then made a motion to accept only the revised tuition for high <br /> school rate of$125.00 for residents and non-residents. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> Mrs. Mills suggested that the Summer School brochure be distributed <br /> along with the Leisure Services summer brochure. Mrs. Cook will ging <br /> this issue to the next Leisure Services Advisory Council meeting. <br /> 3. Non-Union Employees - This will be discussed at the negotiations sub- <br /> committee meeting on Larch 23, 1998. <br /> i <br />
