MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE <br /> rTTE <br /> EMERGENCY MEETING <br /> MARCH 3 , 1998 <br /> Minutes <br /> Attendees: Chairwoman Kathleen synch, Theresa cool, Maryanne Macdonald, <br /> and Stephen Paxton. Janice Mills arrived at 5:51 p.m. Also in attendance was <br /> Superintendent ofSchools Dr. Lincoln A. DeMoura. <br /> Mrs. Lynch called the emergency meeting to order at 5:37 p.m. in Town Hall. <br /> Lir. IeMoura opened the meeting saying the Board of Selectmen will be <br /> recommending an FY99 School Department budget o $11,600,000. Mrs. <br /> Lynch suggested the School Committee recommend a figure of$11,650,000. <br /> After discussion, Mr. Paxton made a notion to recommend an FY99 budget of <br /> $11,650,000. Motion was seconded by Mrs. Cook. <br /> NOTE: Unanimous <br /> Discussion then followed on the issues o : <br /> End-of-year surplus, if any, will be expended for school capital <br /> improvement items <br /> Copy machine maintenance agreements <br /> Music lessons for grades 4, 5, and <br /> In preparation for the upcoming joint meeting with the Board of Selectmen and <br /> the Leisure Services Advisory council, Mrs. Cook discussed a fax that had been <br /> recently received from the Leisure Services Advisory council Chairman, Sheila <br /> Arnold. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Cool, seconded by Ms. Macdonald, to adjourn the <br /> emergency meeting at :55 p.m. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous } <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Marjorie I .
