MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE <br /> SPECIAL MEETING <br /> JUNE 2 , 1998 <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> Minutes <br /> ttendees: Chairwoman Theresa Cook, Maryanne Macdonald, and Janice Mills. Kathleen <br /> ynch arrived at 7:07 p.m. and Stephen Paxton arrived at 7:10 p.m. Also in attendance <br /> as Super'rrtendent of Schools Dr. Lincoln A. DeMoura. <br /> Call Meeting g 'The special meeting was called to order by Chairwoman Mrs. Cook <br /> to Order at 7:05 p.m. in high school room B103. <br /> The intent for tonight's meeting was to have discussion regarding <br /> each topic. After discussion, votes would be taker. <br /> At this point, Mrs. Cook asked the Committee if School Facilities <br /> Supervisor Doxy Cook could make his presentation as he had <br /> another commitment this evening. The Committee agreed. <br /> 11. Review f 3.3 Auto Scrubber- Mr. Cook addressed the Committee or why <br /> FY99 Budget the maintenance department creeds ars auto scrubber replacement <br /> in the Quashnet Schools. He said the machine currently being <br /> used can only be filled to half capacitor which makes it time <br /> consuming to clear lame areas. He said approximate cost for this <br /> item is $8,000 Frith a trade-ire. <br /> 3.4 Trailer - Mr. Cook told the Committee of the meed for a utility <br /> trader in order to move pieces of small equipment that must be <br /> used for regular maintenance, i.e., generators, infield grader, field <br /> paint prayers, snow blower, etc.) Mr. Cook estimated the cost of <br /> the utility trailer to be $2,300. <br /> 1. Review of 2.1 Technology Proposal - Dr. Moura said the school depart- <br /> FY98 Budget ment received a technology grant for $44,610. The purpose of this <br /> grant was to: <br /> Connect all schools. <br /> Provide all students With access to the Internet <br /> Ability to train all teachers <br /> Ability for all schools to communicate within the <br /> school system and with the Department of Education. <br /> I <br />
