This can be done by obtaining <br /> current town contracts along with other MASC. superintendent's <br /> contracts. <br /> Offer incentive(s)? <br /> • Ask Attorney Butler to attend a meeting <br /> Plan a date and review other contracts and pay rate before Mr. <br /> Harder meets with the Committee <br /> • <br /> Advertisement wording <br /> • <br /> Work n brochure -- selling the town., why 1 i shpee <br /> The next step is for Mrs. Lynch and Mrs. Mills to meet with Mr. <br /> Hardy as soon as possible to determine the search calendar, the <br /> qualifications and the schedule. Mrs. Cook suggested an <br /> update on the search at the August loth school Committee <br /> meeting. <br /> Mrs. Lynch asked for any tho h s on establishing the focus <br /> groups. once set up, Mr. Hardy would meet with each focus <br /> group individually and report back to the Committee on what <br /> the townspeople are looping for in a new Superintendent. <br /> Dr. DMoura then discussed the medical condition of Ron Book. At the <br /> moment, it is anticipated that Mr. Bock will not return at the beginning of <br /> school. Therefore, a noel exists to hire a substituter ini r ti e individual <br /> who is retired or someone who is not looking for a long-ter position. Dr. <br /> DeMoura thought a substitute salary would have to be greater than a regular <br /> substitute teacher per diem $ but loss than what Unit B is currently paring <br /> for the assistant principal. <br /> Discussion then followed regarding hiring a substitute assistant principal as <br /> well as a full-time assistant principal. <br /> Motion made by firs. Lynch, seconded by Mr. Paxton, to hire a high school <br /> substitute assistant principal as well as create a second high school assistant <br /> principal position. <br /> Mrs. Lynch asked what the pay rates would be Dr. D Moura responded that <br /> the substitute assistant principal will have to be negotiated and step 1 for grit <br /> B is approximately $60,000. Th se issues will be discussed at the August 10th <br /> School Committee meeting, <br /> VE: Unanimous <br />
