'x.10 High school Scheduling - Mr. MacDonald clarified an issue regarding the change of scheduling within a school and whether it was a School Committee policy. After reviewing the policy manual, Mr. MacDonald said the School Comnu'ttee votes on any major change from traditional to non-traditional scheduling only. 7.11 Emerggna school Closln s - Mr. MacDonald outlined listing of radio and television stations that are called when school is closed due to inclement weather. The workshop will be held on December 16, 1998 at :00 p.m. in the Quashnet schools' Library. Also to increase the possibility of obtain* ing a Crider rare.ge- of candidates, the School Committee discussed f.ncreasing the salary. A motion was made by Mr. Paxton to increase the range to mid $80,000. *There was no second on his motion. More discussion took place with Mrs. Mills rnaking a motion to change the range to $85,000 to $90,000. Motion was seconded by Nis. Macdonald. More discussion followed with Mrs. lulls amending her previous motion to change the range from "$85,000-$90,000" to up to $95,000. here was no second on her motion. - Mrs. Mills thea amended her previous motion to "up to $93,500." Motion was seconded by Mrs. Lynch. After motion discussion Mrs. Mills amended her previous motion to a range between reen $ Motion was seconded by Mrs. Lynch.
