: AD OLD BUSINESS Communication from SEMA Mr. Murphy read a March 10 , -1388 letter from SEMASS regarding a charge of law relating to solid waste manage- nt . "Section 8 of the Act added anew Chapter 21H to the General Laws of Massachusetts entitled "Solid waste Facilities" . Section b f new Chapter 21H-. requires all owners and operators f r . us burning f 11 tit set a id thr r t f`= tipping-- fees received in nr-re t:� n- with sel: -waste dzs a1. gre n s for the purpose f retrofitting such facilities for pollution abatement and control under the waste Acquisition Agreement which must be taken into consideration in a redetermination of the tipping fee payable for the disposal of waste at the SEMASS Project . " Per Mr. Murphy, this will be approximately a $4 , 800 .00 increase to. the town . _ Memo from Town Planner, Thomas Fudalo proposing 1 . the distribution of a request for proposals to engineering firms to begin design of the roads , layout , water and sewer locations and traffic sinaliation ( Route 28/01d Mill Road/Noisy Hole Road Intersect ion ) and,, 2 . A meeting f all the above men'tioned parties along with -Tom, the DPW Director, Executive Secretary, Mass . DPW and representatives of the Selectmen and Planning Board to discuss both the de-sign issues and funding mechanisms involved in- this prof eet . � . _ Mrs . Thomas asked who on the Board would be willing to sit in on .the above meeting. Mr. Hanson" felt it unnecessary ,. that a board member attend and that Mr. ,M-urhy' presence would be sufficient . F Letter from South Cape Beach State Park Advisory Committee dated March 15 , 1988 stating their decision to recommend against t'he use of the ten acre site on Great liver as a town boat launch. It was agreed that the matter would be taken under advisement . . Memo from Executive Secretary and Town Account re: Dredging II in reference to the use of funds from State Government , Mr. Carter stated that the Board should table this issue. . Memo from Conservation Commission re : Popponesset Dredging Project When will dredging equipment be removed . Mr. Carter addressed this issue and state that the company has a future dredging project in Chatham and they will remove the equipment within 7-10 days . Theref ore f Mr. Carter submitted that the Board wait the 7-10 days rather than have the town use funds to remove the equipment .
