Letter from Division of Fisheries & wildlife regarding possible intent to purchase 1 .336 acres of land within Mashpee Barnstable along the Mashpee River. The meeting was temporarily adjourned at 7 :45 and .=re-conn ned at 8 : 30 p ,m, A joint meeting was held with the Finance Committee to male recommendations on town meeting articles . Articles 1 -12 recommended by Finance Committee - Board was in agreement Article 1 - Regarding the hiring of four new firefighters -- All were in agreement that these positions are necessary but. no by way of a override . Article 1 -- one additional full-time police officer half-gear position) . Mr. Lawrence moved that the board support this article . Mr. Carter seconded the motion. Mrs . Thomas , Mr, Gottlieb and Mr. Hanson were opposed. Mr. Gottlieb moved to support the article contingent upon a override. Mrs . Thomas , Mr. Hanson and Mr, Gottlieb were in favor. Mr, Lawrence d Mr. Carter were opposed,, t isle '15 - Mr, Lawrence moved to support this article . Mr, Carter seconded the motion . All were in favor, Article 1 - Mr, Lwrence moved to accept the recommendation of the Finance Committee. Mr. Hanson seconded the motion . All were in favor. Article 1 - Mr. Carter moved to support the article. Mr. Lawrence seconded the motion. All were in favor. Articles 19 and 20 - All were in favor of both these articles , Article 22 - Mr. Gottlieb moved to support this article. Mr. Carter seconded the motion , All were in favor. Article 24 The board voted unanimously to support this article. ' Article 25 The board voted unanimously to support this article . Article 28 The board voted unanimously to support this article.
