Mr. Hanson seconded the motion. Z,i --- Mr. --Mr. Carter - and Mrs . Thomas were in favor. Mr. Gottlieb was opposed. Mr. Carter moved to grant the request for five video machines . Mr. Hanson seconded the motion. Mr. Lawrence was in favor. Mrs . Thomas was opposed. Mr. Gottlieb ob s t a fined from voting. Finance Committee members attended to obtain clarification on a number of articles to appear on warrant and further. discussion of the four additional firefighters appearing on the verride ballot . 4 . Chief Ridgeway attended to request $7 , 100 for two seasonal employees for the sinner 7/1 - 9/1/88 ) . Per Mr. Murphy, there are no available funds , In order to give this department these funds , it would have to be taken from -another department . OLD BUSINESS E 1 . Proposal from Howard Horton ,relative to . Cable Television licensing procedures . Mr. Lawrence stated that the proposal was unprofessional. All agreed that the proposal should be subject to the town ' s ability to fund this .r. .:Mr. Eliason will spear to Mr, Horton to see what he will do f-or the $8 ,, 000 ( 4/1/88 - 6,/30/88 ) . All Board members concurred , Request from Phillip Scorgie - Mashpee Little League for the town to donate/lease land for baseball fields . All agreed that the request had merit . - Mr. Carter roved to have Torn Fudala, Town Planner look into some available sites , Mr. Lawrence seconded the motion . All were in favor.. Mr. Hanson was not present at the time. . Mr. Gottlieb moved , pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws , Chhpter 7 , Section 40( 1 ) , the Mashpee Board of Selectmen waive the 120 day notice requirements as set forth in said Section of the General Laws , and do hereby approve the acquisition of certain parcels of land in Mashpee , Barnstable County, Massachusetts , now or formerly owned by the Forward Development Corporation by the Department of Environmental Management , in conjunction with the Department of Fisheries , Wildlife and Environmental Law Enforcement within a shorter time period than provided in said Section 40( 1 ) . Mr. Carter seconded the motion. All were in favor. Mr, Hanson was not present at the time .
