Mr. Gottlieb was opposed. <br /> Mr. Carter moved to grant the request for five video machines . <br /> Mr. Hanson seconded the motion. Mr. Lawrence was in favor. <br /> Mrs . Thomas was opposed. Mr. Gottlieb ob s t a fined from voting. <br /> Finance Committee members attended to obtain clarification <br /> on a number of articles to appear on warrant and further. discussion <br /> of the four additional firefighters appearing on the verride <br /> ballot . <br /> 4 . Chief Ridgeway attended to request $7 , 100 for two seasonal <br /> employees for the sinner 7/1 - 9/1/88 ) . Per Mr. Murphy, <br /> there are no available funds , In order to give this department <br /> these funds , it would have to be taken from -another department . <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> E <br /> 1 . Proposal from Howard Horton ,relative to . Cable Television licensing <br /> procedures . Mr. Lawrence stated that the proposal was unprofessional. <br /> All agreed that the proposal should be subject to the town ' s <br /> ability to fund this .r. .:Mr. Eliason will spear to Mr, Horton <br /> to see what he will do f-or the $8 ,, 000 ( 4/1/88 - 6,/30/88 ) . All <br /> Board members concurred , <br /> Request from Phillip Scorgie - Mashpee Little League for the town <br /> to donate/lease land for baseball fields . All agreed that the <br /> request had merit . - Mr. Carter roved to have Torn Fudala, Town <br /> Planner look into some available sites , Mr. Lawrence seconded <br /> the motion . All were in favor.. Mr. Hanson was not present at <br /> the time. <br /> . Mr. Gottlieb moved , pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws , <br /> Chhpter 7 , Section 40( 1 ) , the Mashpee Board of Selectmen <br /> waive the 120 day notice requirements as set forth in said Section <br /> of the General Laws , and do hereby approve the acquisition of <br /> certain parcels of land in Mashpee , Barnstable County, Massachusetts , <br /> now or formerly owned by the Forward Development Corporation by <br /> the Department of Environmental Management , in conjunction with <br /> the Department of Fisheries , Wildlife and Environmental Law <br /> Enforcement within a shorter time period than provided in said <br /> Section 40( 1 ) . Mr. Carter seconded the motion. All were in <br /> favor. Mr, Hanson was not present at the time . <br />
