BOARD of SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES - REGULAR SESSION <br /> MONDAY, JULY 11f 1988 <br /> PRESENT: Selectmen Lawrence, Gottliebf Jacobson and Carter and Executive <br /> Secretary Joseph Murphy <br /> GUESTS: Chief Frye, Deputy Chief Cooper, Richard Halpern,,. Kay Perry, <br /> Secon ett Island Resident <br /> The meeting convened at 7 :03 p.m. <br /> MINUTES <br /> Mr, Gottlieb moved to accept the minutes of the July 5 , 1388 Regular <br /> Session minutes . Mrs . Jacobson seconded the motion, All were in favor. <br /> APPOINTMENTS &f HEARINGS <br /> Fl . Kay Perry,, President of Secon.s et t Island o iat ion attended Frith <br /> ; a number of other Secon ett Island residents to request assistance <br /> from the Board in regard to noise and parties on the island, <br /> C n c ludi a--band that played on July 4 . <br /> Mrs . Perry asked whether anti.-noise by-laws could be amended to <br /> be in Force 24 hours a day. Also, she questioned whether the <br /> fires to the owner could be increased . <br /> Another concern raised by residents is speeding cars on Riverside <br /> Road. <br /> These problems relate spedif ically to a group of cottages rented <br /> . by Richard Halpern who had agreed to work with Seconsett Island <br /> residents by patrolling the area and being available to residents <br /> in the event of at problem. The residents felt that this method <br /> has not been successful, <br /> { <br /> Mr, Lawrence stated that Mr. Halpern should continue working with <br /> his tennants and increase patrols . Also, work will be done to <br /> create a stronger anti-noise by-law to be on the warrant for the <br /> November 1 , . 13.88 Special Town 'Meeting. } <br /> Chief Frye _was. rgested to use radar patrol for the problem of <br /> speeding., <br />
