BOARD OF SELECTMEN MINUTES - REGULAR LAI SESSION MONDAY, AUGUST 22 , 1988 PAGE TWO (Cont. Lofhie responded yes , OLD BUSINESS 11 The Board discussed a letter of concern from Nonie Nickerson regarding the need for outdoor water bubblers at Heritage Park, One area of concern was the fact that sodium level i n the water is slightly elevated, However , Mr , Gottlieb advised that this is really not a health threat but that it should be posted. Ms . Rubin indicated that the signs are torn down almost as soon as they are put up. Ms. Rubin stated that there are funds a-vailable in the budget - for the correct types of bubblers required as well as to repair the pipes which were damaged due to frost.. The Board advised Ms. Rubin to proceed with the plans to supply outside water to the fields . OTHER OLD BUSINESS 1 . Mr. Carter requested Mr. Murphy to send a reminder to Little League regarding their plans for a field. . Mr . Gottlieb informed the Board regarding the meeting with DB on Briarood. Bottled water is being supplied as of Friday, August 1 , 1988, . Mrs. Jacobson advised the Board that she met with Town Counsel regarding the issue of ,het skis being rented at the State ramp. Mr. Reardon advised her that the Public Access Board law is enforcab l e and should be enforced by the Police Department in the Town of Mashpee. Deputy Chief cooper requested that the Board have Mr, Reardon send a certified letter to Mr. Lopes advising him of the law. NEW BUSINESS 11 The Board discussed the issue of the probation period being waived for Veronica warden. Mr. Murphy recommended that the Board deny this request until the Personnel Beard establishes standards that prevent such waiver's be granted, ice- --- - - - ----- --
