The Board noted a communication from Massachusetts Municipal. <br /> Association regarding their endorsement of the Fair Wage <br /> Committee' s campaign to repeal the prevailing wage law, <br /> 6, Mr . Gottlieb moved to abate an ambulance bill for Patrolman <br /> Michael L acava who was inured on duty on July 15 , 1988. <br /> Mr . Hansen seconded the motion. All were in favor . <br /> . The Board noted a communication from Mrs . jacobson <br /> expressing thanks from the Senior Citizen' s Walking club to <br /> Chester Ko linsky, Bill Burtis and dill Mills for their <br /> guidance on their trip of September 12 , 1988 . <br /> 8 . The Board noted a communication from onomos oy Improvement <br /> Trust commending Chester Koblinsk r and his- staff for their <br /> efforts of surveillance of Mashpee waters <br /> Rubin was present to receive clarification from the <br /> Board regarding the fact that the Board. of Selectmen is the <br /> supervisor of the Director of Parks & Recreation, Ms . Rubin <br /> sated that she was unclear as to her role in relation to <br /> the Executive Secretary since she reports directly to him. <br /> The Board advised Ms . Rubin that the Executive Secretary is <br /> her direct supervisor in terms of daily operation and that <br /> the Board completes the evaluation process a system that <br /> has been in place for four years) . <br /> 1 . The Board noted a communication from the cape cod <br /> Conservation District requestinz cooperation in an annual <br /> anti—littering campaign on cape Cod beaches , lakes and <br /> ponds . <br /> 11 , The Board agreed that no public hearing was necessary in <br /> order for Route 151 Shell to replace their underground <br /> storage tanks . <br /> 12 . The Board authorized the Chairman to sign the contract <br /> between the Town of Mashpee and Bennett Shaw to conduct <br /> consultant services for the Youth 2000 Grant . <br /> 13 . Mr . Murphy requested that the Board defer action relative to <br /> his memo regarding Water System Bids — materials and <br /> installation of the water distribution system to serge the <br /> new school , Police and Fire Station. <br />
