Once the cost estimate is obtained a <br /> pub <br /> e r i i s held o inform the residents of the cost lic <br /> and if there is clear sentiment at the hearing in support of <br /> the take -over , the Board could volunteer to include h <br /> roadways under the umbrella of the Town s "private to public <br /> road conversion" section of the by-laws . Mr. Gottlieb was <br /> not present for the discussion. <br /> . The Board agreed to discuss Mr . MurphyFs communication <br /> relative t "freecash" at next week's meeting. <br /> The Board discussed a communication from r. Murphy relative <br /> to Special Town Meetings . It was agreed to change the <br /> November er 1 , 1988 Special Town Meeting to November- 28, 1988. <br /> Murphyasked the Board 'to discourage departments from <br /> submitting arti le on the February Special Town fleeting <br /> Warrant unless -they are of such significance as the Middle <br /> School Roof& i t was agreed that the special Town meeting <br /> for the Middle School Rood' would be held on January 30, <br /> 1989. <br /> The Board agreed to follow Mr. Murphy" s recommendation -to <br /> have each article subject to a referenda question. Have a <br /> special election i n December for the transfer station and <br /> another in February for the school roof. This option allows <br /> the projects to proceed according to plans and permits the <br /> Finance Committee to know the amount of money it has to work <br /> with as it reviews budgets . <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 11 Mr. Carter~ moved to appoint Charles F . Buckingham to the <br /> Senior Center Building Committee and to limit the committee <br /> to no more than seven members , Mrs . Jacobson seconded the <br /> motion . Mr. Lawrence was in favor and Mr . Gottlieb was not <br /> present for the vote. <br /> . Mr . Canter moved to appoint David Terry to the solid waste <br /> Transfer station Building Committee and to limit the <br /> committee to no more than five members . Mrs . Jacobson <br /> seconded the motion. Mr. Lawrence was in favor~ and <br /> Mr. Gottlieb was not present for the vote. <br /> 3 . Mr. Carter moved to abate an ambulance bill for Patrolman <br />
