P <br /> �40 <br /> * 1 <br /> f .v <br /> BOARD of SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES REGULAR SESSION <br /> MON A s NOVEMBER , 1988 <br /> PRESENT: se l ec-teen Lawrence, c Ott l i b, Hanson, Carter and Jacobson <br /> and Executive secretary Joseph FR Murphy <br /> GUESTS: Andrew lµl i son, John Ferguson, Paul Somerville, Chester <br /> Koblinsky, George Leighton., Richard l uusel <br /> The meeting Convened at 7 : 00 p.m,. <br /> ,. <br /> MINUTES <br /> The Board voted unanimously to accept the Regular and Executive <br /> Session Minutes of October 24, 1988 with the foliowing amendment; <br /> Old Business , #I . - shou l reach - The Board agreed to postpone its <br /> discussion relative to Creat Oak Road indefinitely, <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> 1 . Andrew Elieson of the Cable Committee was present to have <br /> 'the Board select the order at random of applicants for Cable <br /> service in the Town of l l sh ee. <br /> The order of the applicants i s as follows : <br /> 1 . M sh ee Cable P rtner hi <br /> . Channel one, Inc . <br /> 3 . American Cablesystems, In . <br /> . Adelphia Communications <br /> . John Ferguson of -the School 'uil in Committee was present <br /> s requested by Mr. Carter for the purpose of explaining <br /> certain Change orders and where the responsibility for these <br /> changes lie* Mr, Lawrence asked why the Tern should pay for <br /> errors mace by -the architect in the plans . It was clarified <br /> that this was the purpose for the contingency in the <br /> contract - and that Change orders are normal procedure for e <br /> project this size. <br /> Mr. Carter asked what the Committee is doing to assure the <br /> quality of the work being dorae at the school . Mr. Ferguson <br /> replied that the Town has employed a highly experienced <br /> Clerk of the Works . <br />
