Ferguson informed ithe Board that the Committee has <br /> discussed the possibility of erecting a barbed wire fence <br /> around the perimeter of the school to prevent additional <br /> vandalism. The cost of the rental of this fence would be <br /> approximately 1 , O , which would be less expensive than <br /> hiring a security guard, Mr. Richard Kuusela suggested that <br /> the Committee consult a security company, i . e. , photo- <br /> electric <br /> hoto-- <br /> electris beams to determine i f this type of system would be <br /> less expensive -than a fence <br /> Mr. oit.-t l i els moved to approve Charge Order #6 submitted by <br /> the School Building Committee an increase of $ 16,337 , 00) , <br /> Hanson seconded the motion . All were in favor. <br /> A public hearinQ was held relative to the reopening of <br /> Little River to holders of valid I a tepee Commercial <br /> She l f sh Perm!ts . <br /> Paul Somerville stated -that -the Shellfish Commission was <br /> requesting that the area be reopened on November 15, 1988 a <br /> sunrise o Commercial Fisher-men with the following <br /> exceptions : 1 The west side of the river from the rear low <br /> water mark out twenty feet. The east side of the river <br /> from the mean low water nark out to a l i rye drawn from the <br /> marker pole on the poi ' of the Kuusel a property, 549 <br /> 000seoy Island Road to the end of the dock at 425 <br /> Monornoscoy Island Road thea to a marker pole at the Parols .i <br /> Property. From that pole o the mouth of #iamb l i res' Pond the <br /> line ill be -twenty feet out from the mean low water mark. <br /> Mr. S mmeryi7le recommended that this reopening e effective <br /> until approxi mately April 15t 1989 and that he have the <br /> opportunity at that time to request ars extension. <br /> Chester K b l i sky stated that residents of the area would <br /> agree to the reopening, but for a trial basis o ' one year a <br /> opposed to six months . He also stated 'that the residents of <br /> the area would expect close upery i i o y the Shellfish <br /> Commission to see that there are no problems. <br /> Mrs . Jacobson moved to accept the recommendation of the <br /> Shellfish Commission -to reopen the area known as Little <br /> River on November 15, 1989 through April 15 , 1989 with the <br /> option for a review at that -time (to include the twenty foot <br /> buffer zone as delineated or the map) . Mr. Gottlieb <br /> seconded the motion. All were it favor. <br />
