5 <br /> • Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 28, 2002 <br /> Meeting re-convened: 6:46 p.m. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Town Administrator Interview Process: <br /> The Board announced that interviews would be conducted on the <br /> date of Monday, February 4, 2002 for the position of Town Administrator. <br /> Interviews shall commence at 6:00 p.m. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Hearing_Liquor License VFW Post: <br /> Selectman Leveille stepped down for the above referenced Hearing. <br /> Selectman Cahalane opened the Public Hearing on the application of <br /> • Mashpee Veterans of Foreign War, Inc., d/b/a Mashpee Memorial VFW <br /> Post 5489, Alice Gibbons, Manager, for a Veterans Club Annual All <br /> Alcohol License at property described as: 6,500 square foot restaurant and <br /> bar facility located at 470 Main Street, Mashpee. <br /> Acting Town Administrator Joyce Mason read aloud the Public Hearing <br /> notice as published. Edwin Theis, Secretary of the Mashpee Veterans of <br /> Foreign War, Inc. was present to discuss the license application with the <br /> Board of Selectmen. <br /> Mr. Theis respectfully requested the Board continue the Hearing for (2) <br /> weeks to allow the VFW to address final items relative to the occupancy <br /> permit. Mr. Theis indicated that there is a small punch list of items that <br /> require services of trade and local craftsmen. Shipment has also been <br /> delayed for the replacement of kitchen equipment. <br /> The Board of Selectmen was also in receipt of correspondence from the <br /> Building Inspector, Fire Department and Board of Health with respect to <br /> this regard. Inspections must be performed by the regulatory parties prior <br /> to the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy for use. <br /> In order to determine if there is sufficient parking on the property for the <br /> • 200+ seat restaurant, the required number of parking spaces allowed per <br /> zoning should also be reviewed by the Zoning Board of Appeals. <br />
