5 • Board of Selectmen Minutes January 28, 2002 Meeting re-convened: 6:46 p.m. COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: Town Administrator Interview Process: The Board announced that interviews would be conducted on the date of Monday, February 4, 2002 for the position of Town Administrator. Interviews shall commence at 6:00 p.m. APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: Public Hearing_Liquor License VFW Post: Selectman Leveille stepped down for the above referenced Hearing. Selectman Cahalane opened the Public Hearing on the application of • Mashpee Veterans of Foreign War, Inc., d/b/a Mashpee Memorial VFW Post 5489, Alice Gibbons, Manager, for a Veterans Club Annual All Alcohol License at property described as: 6,500 square foot restaurant and bar facility located at 470 Main Street, Mashpee. Acting Town Administrator Joyce Mason read aloud the Public Hearing notice as published. Edwin Theis, Secretary of the Mashpee Veterans of Foreign War, Inc. was present to discuss the license application with the Board of Selectmen. Mr. Theis respectfully requested the Board continue the Hearing for (2) weeks to allow the VFW to address final items relative to the occupancy permit. Mr. Theis indicated that there is a small punch list of items that require services of trade and local craftsmen. Shipment has also been delayed for the replacement of kitchen equipment. The Board of Selectmen was also in receipt of correspondence from the Building Inspector, Fire Department and Board of Health with respect to this regard. Inspections must be performed by the regulatory parties prior to the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy for use. In order to determine if there is sufficient parking on the property for the • 200+ seat restaurant, the required number of parking spaces allowed per zoning should also be reviewed by the Zoning Board of Appeals.
