Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> April 2 , 2002 <br /> COMMUNICATIONS ANS] CORK S oNDI C : <br /> Ma.sl pee 2000 Donations: (continued) <br /> The Board of Selectmen directed the Town Administrator to send a letter <br /> of appreciation to each member of the 1 lashpee 2000 Committee for their <br /> work to create the Mashpee Community Park and Veterans garden. <br /> Public Schools of Brookline; <br /> Correspondence was received from the Public Schools.of Brookline dated <br /> March 29, 2002 urging.the Selectmen to reject the Board of Education's <br /> proposal to include MCAS results on students' pernianent transcripts. <br /> The Board determined that the matter would be appropriately forwarded to <br /> the School Conunittee for input and review. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Herring Regulations: <br /> John head, Mashpee Police Department tment was present to discuss issues <br /> relative to Herring Regulations with the Board of Selectmen. In <br /> particular,the age limit is not reflected on the current regulations as <br /> adopted by the Board of Selectmen. Also,the issue of allowing a spouse <br /> to obtain a permit for a spouse was considered. <br /> The Selectmen agreed to refer the matter to the Herring warden. Mr. <br /> Read will also assist with the development of a model.polio that would <br /> comply with state regulations for the taking of herring. In the interim, the <br /> Selectmen agreed upon the following-, <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to allow a spouse to obtain a <br /> herring license for a spouse with proper idnlfication. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VO ' ; Unanimous. -0. <br /> i - <br />
