OP <br /> MINUTES January 3 , 1991 7 BOARD D of HEALTH <br /> • <br /> Mr, Cooke informed the Board they will require a site <br /> for cornpostin g and are considering a facility within Mashpee. <br /> Mr. Cooke presented a sample of the compost end-product, w <br /> Costs would average $20040 per year 'per household. <br /> 4 <br /> Discussion took -place regarding problems that may arise <br /> with older cesspools, non functioning systems, odors that may <br /> emit from the facility etc. Mr. Greelish commented that many <br /> obstacles on both State and local levels must be resolved <br /> prior to any commitments by the town. <br /> Mr, Cooke asked if the Board would forward a Letter of <br /> support to the Selectmen. <br /> Board members agreed to attend the Selectmen's meeting. <br /> Landfill operations <br /> Discussion took place regarding current landfill op- <br /> erations. Mr. Greelish directed Mr, McQuaid to consult with <br /> Weston & Sampson in regards to the malfunctioning water <br /> heater at the 'transfer Station, inform Mr. DiMaggio the pe- <br /> rimeter- of the landfill must be policed and research as to <br /> whether a larger container could be secured for the can bin. <br /> Mr Greelish directed Mr, McQuaid to contact the waste <br /> coordinator at the county regarding the bid document for <br /> class recycling. <br /> Being no further business Mr. Doherty motioned to adjourn the <br /> meeting at 9 : 40 p.m. , Mr. Qreelish seconded. <br /> r. <br /> Respectfully submitted <br /> Veronica Warden, PrinciLpal Clerk.- <br />
