Da re Rich sampled wa- <br /> ter prior and after placement of filters and determined <br /> higher water quality without filters. <br /> Ir. Greelish questioned . .P. 's reasoning behind the <br /> placement of water filters. <br /> Mr. McQuaid responded, in his opinion, they were at- <br /> tempting to reduce the iron content. <br /> Mr. Evans commented in order to reduce iron content you <br /> must prechlorinate then run it thru charcoal filters. <br /> Mr. McQuaid informed the Board he did authorize removal <br /> of the filters. <br /> Board members agreed. <br /> 12 , ) Memo from Agent re: Iters for discussion - Mr. McQuaid <br /> requested a continuance until laterin the meeting. <br /> APPOINTMENT: Title V Variance - 30 Wilsons Grove Lane <br /> Mr. Peter Sullivan representing the engineering firm of <br /> Baxter and Nye was in attendance, as well as, Mr. & Nims. <br /> Lane. <br /> Mr. Sullivan presented certified mail receipts to the <br /> Board and commented plans were reprised as requested by this <br /> Board. Mr. Lame is proposing a one bedroom addition to his <br /> home. A Title V sideline setback variance is required. <br /> Mr. Greelish explained the Board is concerned with lot <br /> dimensions , -gra ting relief to install a Title V system was <br /> and is not consistent with sound- environmental policy in that <br /> area This Beard is not inclined to grant an upgrade to <br /> Title V in this area unless there is an emergency situation, <br /> which would then require a statement from the owner agreeing <br /> to no increase in habitable space'. Mr-. Greelish relayed <br /> granting this variance would set a precedent for the area. <br /> Mr. Doherty explained the area cannot physically support <br /> year 'round homeowners. <br />
