The individual has apparent- <br /> ly been evicted for non-payment of rent and in return is su- <br /> ing Richard Halpern - thins comes this - request for copies of <br /> the inspection reports through the tenant's attorney. <br /> I <br /> Mr. Costa urged that Mr, Evans not comment on the in- <br /> spections neither orally nor in writing but that copies of <br /> anything on file may be offered. <br /> Mr, Evans discussed another potential law suit regard- <br /> ing an employee of Pilgrim's Pride. Duce to probably a freak <br /> accident or poor handling practices an employee was exposed <br /> to chlorine gas fumes whereupon the employee was out of work <br /> for three days" . (Pilgr' imils Pride is not paying for the time <br /> cut . Johnson and Johnson provided the kitchen operation <br /> with a vat to which a mixture of lye and potassium hydroxide <br /> is added to clean the pots, pane and utensils. At this - <br /> point , Mr. Greel ish stepped down as a Board member for rea- <br /> sons f potential conflict of interest) , Mr. Evans continued <br /> by stating that this is a very caustic solution which re- <br /> quire - careful attention and, instrruction. In transferring a <br /> pot from the vat to the dishwasher, some solution spilled <br /> into a sink Molding an amount of ohlorox, this created a <br /> gas. This was attempted to be neutralized by someone by add- <br /> ing vinegar to it. This in turn created a chlorine gas which <br /> caused several employees to vomit and become ill . <br /> Mr. Evans has since contacted several agencies: D.P.H. ; <br /> Division of Food & Drug; Div, of occupational Hygiene; Dept.. <br /> f Labor; Barnstable County Health and he sent the MSDS t <br />
