T <br /> MINUTES May 2 . 1991 3 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Ms. Watermann stated she is present this evening to di - <br /> cuss services provided by #The Center for Individual and Fam- <br /> ily Services. 'The Council on Aging is unable to access <br /> number of their services. " 'The primary issue is medicare, <br /> which is rejected as a source of payment for. home. counseling <br /> and in-home visits. 11 Ms. Watermann questioned the Board as <br /> to whether funds allocated in the "Center"s" ' contract for <br /> home counseling and in-home visits could be transferred to <br /> the . ,A. fs contract as they have a psychiatric nurse on <br /> staff. <br /> Mr. Greelish informed Ms, Watermann that this Boardpre- <br /> viously voted to approve the Center for Individual and Family <br /> Services funding request for fiscal year 1992 . <br /> Ms. Watermann relayed referrals were made to the "Cen- <br /> ter" to utilize the intensive home-therapy multi problem fam- <br /> ily program which was offered. 'The Center informed us the <br /> eniors would be unable to utilize this program. " "They <br /> would not elaborate as to why Seniors could not access the <br /> program. " <br /> Mr. Greelish commented a representative from the "Cen- <br /> ter" did inform this Board they were not in a position to <br /> provide outreach services, they were strictly clinically <br /> bound. <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated he mot with Town Counsel per the re- <br /> quest of All Cape Health care Services, "Town Counsel was <br /> agreeable with the 1992 human service funding requests how- <br /> ever, recommended bids for the subsequent fiscal year. <br /> Mr. Greelish directed Mr* McQuaid work in cooperation <br /> with Ms. Watermann in assessing the current services avail- <br /> able by ' The Center's and report to the Board with his find- <br /> ings. <br /> r <br /> . County Recycling meeting 91 and minutes - Mr, Costa <br /> directed Ir., McQuaid to notify Mr. Monaghan of the meeting.. <br /> . Memo from sticker office - Mr. Greelish. directed Mr. <br /> McQuaid to forward a memo to the sticker office expressing <br /> this Boards concern with the proposed hours for the sale of <br /> stickers as many residents may wish to obtain their stickers <br /> on their lunch hour* <br /> .
