#r <br /> ti <br /> MINUTES June 20, 1991 3 BOARS OF HEALTH <br /> t <br /> Discussion took place regarding alternative leachingfa- <br /> cilities. <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated the proposed leaching facility is a <br /> substantial improvement than what is existing. "If the owner <br /> submits a statement recorded at the Registry of Deeds that no <br /> increase in habitable space will be proposed until public wa- <br /> ter- becomes available, I would recommend this Board grant the <br /> proper relief conditional upon State concurrence." <br /> Mr. Greelish recommended filing a covenant on the Title <br /> to ensure any transfer of property. <br /> Mr. Doherty reiterated Mr. Mc uaid's comments stating <br /> the system is a substantial improvement over the existing <br /> system. <br /> Mr. Costa stated, in his opinion, the request is unrea- <br /> sonable., <br /> Mr, Greelish stated he would like this public hearing <br /> continued to next weeps meeting in order to research septic <br /> system alternatives.- <br /> Board members agreed to continue this hearing to June <br /> 271 1991. <br /> APPOINTMENT: Ron Shut - Recycling <br /> Mr, Ron Schutz and Mr, Jerry Monaghan, Recycling Chair- <br /> man, were in attendance for this scheduled appointment. <br /> Mr. Costaexpressed to Mr, Schutz his disappointment <br /> with the current fees charged for recycling. <br /> . Mr. Schutz informed the Board newspaper markets have <br /> dropped their prices dramatically. <br /> Mr, Costa questioned Mr. Schutz as to whether he can <br /> market any newspapers. <br /> Mr. Schutz responded no, he is trying to recover the <br /> cost difference between the transportation and the packaging <br /> and is still losing money. "As per our contractual agreement <br /> I will ship the newspapers to Otis, thru the Mashpee waste <br /> stream, if the Board so desires however, there will be a <br /> trucking fee.." <br /> 1 <br /> F <br /> a <br /> i <br />
