Doherty, Chairman <br /> APPOINTMENT: Base cleanup - Remediation information <br /> Individuals in attendance - Selectperson Nancy Caf fyn, <br /> Falmouth Selectperson Virginia Valeila, Mr. Jerry Monaghan <br /> and Mr. Tony Fiorentini. - <br /> ' Ms. Cciffyn, stat d' it is ,the Perception of some citizens <br /> groups that we do not haveVan organization of Prow to approach <br /> the situation. Ms. Oaffyn questioned Ms. Valeila as to which <br /> individuals make up the Falmouth 'Response Team" . <br /> p f <br /> I 1 , hk <br /> Ms. 'Valeila explained that the Falmouth "Response Team" <br /> is made up of the Dater Supt. , Town Counsel., Town Administra- <br /> tor,, . <br /> dinistra- <br /> tor, . and a Selectper oin e . , "This- group . works in several <br /> gays: wt "The T.E.A.-C. person. is. the' f first co rdu-it of informa- <br /> tion f whateveris happening -at the base. of ls'* Valeila rec- <br /> ommended the town of Ma hpee include a T.E.A.C i person as a <br /> member of their team, As well as, a Health Agent and Board o <br /> Ne a l th- member. "I do not think the Committee should be any <br /> larger than that, both in teems of getting people assembled <br /> and its use as a "thin tank" to inform each other of what's <br /> going on arra to sift out the issues facing our ton and the <br /> implicati ns. 't Ms. Valeila stated there are two active F <br /> regulatory agencies that- are active players. "More public <br /> meetings will be required as issues such as s lel removal must <br /> be discussed. 11 "The meetings that were held every two months <br /> were attended by a small group of people arra often the same <br /> group of people. " "These individuals were getting increas- <br /> ingly disrespectful arra unproductive and the issues discussed <br /> were very becoming repetitive. " Mr. Valeila commented, when <br /> this group of individuals holds its own meeting thea the in- <br /> formation forwarded is selective, "D*E* . and the - E.P.A. <br /> pp <br /> still continue t 'su l their manpower for the meetings but <br /> i <br /> it is not being used very beneficially, " Mso.
