MINUTES February 3, 2000 5 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Mr. Ball motioned to continue this agenda item. Mr. Cram seconded the motion. <br /> Motion to continue passed. <br /> a <br /> . . Letter from Moe re: additional. trailers <br /> Mr. Maurice cassanelli was in attendance for this agenda discussion. <br /> Mr. C ssanelli subrm*tted a letter to the Board stating that it is his feeling that it <br /> is impossible to operate the Mashpee Transfer Station without at least four <br /> trailers. His letter indicated that he is grilling to purchase two new trailers and <br /> is requesting the torn agree to a change order in the contract for an additional <br /> $40,000 per year for the remainder of the contract in order to maintain the <br /> trailers. <br /> ers. <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated that the Board of Selectmen awarded the contract last year <br /> and that all he can do at this point is to make a recommendation to the <br /> Selectmen. <br /> Discussion took place regarding the operation of the Transfer Station and Mr, <br /> c ssanelli's request. <br /> Board members directed Mr. McQuaid to contact engineer's Weston & Sampson <br /> for further information on the contract in place and possible suggestions. Mr. <br /> McQuaid was further instructed to contact Town Counsel and to get a complete <br /> breakdown from Mr. Cassanelli of the number of trips, number of trailers, etc. <br /> in order to justify his request. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Mr. Nash-It" mobile car-wash business, <br /> Board acknowledged ledged rid gage approval for Mr. McQuaid to sign the Business <br /> Certificate Checklist from the Town Clerk's office. <br /> American Fled cross <br /> The American Red Cross has submitted a request to put a used clothing <br /> container at the Transfer Station. <br /> Mr. Cram motioned to accept the container whose location is to be designated <br /> by Mr. cassanelli. Mr. Ball seconded the motion. lotion passed. <br /> Variance re nest: 108 West Wa <br /> Applicant is requesting a variance of 45'from the proposed soil absorption <br /> system to the a fisting well at #57 Amos Landing load, a variance of 3 ' 'rox <br /> the proposed soil absorption system to the proposed well, a variance of.l 'from <br /> an existing leaching pit and a proposed well at ##106 West Way. <br /> Mr. Crain motioned to grant the variances as outlined in a corer letter from <br /> Holmes &. McGrath, Inc. dated January 25, 2000. Mr. Ball seconded the <br /> motion. Motion passed. <br />
