i <br /> MINUTES February 3, 2000 4 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> i <br /> APPOINTMENT: The phoenix Group re: 17-21 Ocean Bluff Avenue <br /> Mr. Michael trot ke of The Phoenix Group was in attendance for this scheduled <br /> appointment. <br /> Mr. trot ke indicated that these combined lots have.approval for 1 l bedrooms. The <br /> applicant is interested in building a 7-bedroom' house with a denitrification system. <br /> They are stating that they are planning to hook up to the sewage treatment plan when <br /> available. The variance being requested is for a denitrification unit and no reserve. <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated that he would like applicant to hook up to the treatment plant <br /> whn it comes on line. <br /> Mr. Crain motioned to grant the variance as requested with the stipulation that the <br /> Board receive revised plans showing a denitrification unit and that applicant win be <br /> required to hook up to the treatment plant hen available. A statement to that affect <br /> must`be recorded at the Barnstable Counter Registry of Deeds. Mr. Ball seconded the <br /> motion. Motion passed. <br /> APPOINTMENT: Tie Phoenix Group.re: I I Taff rail Way <br /> Ir. Michael Grotke of The Phoenix Group was in attendance for this scheduled <br /> appointment. <br /> The applicant is proposing to build a garage adjacent to the existing residence with an <br /> office space above the car bay. There will be a bathroom connected to the existing <br /> septic tank with no change to the septic system. <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated that the groundwater is very high there and the soil at the site is <br /> all fill. Mr. Grotke stated that they would cheek and replace any unsuitable soils. <br /> Mr. Cram motioned to approve the request pending approval from the Health Agent <br /> after a site inspection. Mr. Ball seconded the motion. Motion passed. <br /> APPOINTMENT: lid pesce re: 266 Monomoscpy Road <br /> Mr. lid Pesce was in attendance for this scheduled appointment. <br /> Applicant is requesting a variance to install an innovative/alternative septic system. <br /> This includes the installation of Clivus Multrum composting toilets for all black water <br /> flogs and all gray grater will be separately plumbed to the proposed septic tank and <br /> leaching system. Also being requested is a variance of 1.' from the front lot lime to the <br /> edge of leaching, a variance of 4' from the lot sideline to the edge of leaching, a <br /> variance of 5' from the foundation to the septic tank and a variance of 6'from the lot <br /> sideline to the septic tank. <br /> Mr. Pesee stated that the applicant is interested in moving the house from the <br /> proposed location shorn on the plans. In order to mere the house, the lot would need <br /> to be raised slightly and the leaching area would need to'be made smaller. <br /> Mr. Ball stated that he is not comfortable with these alterations. Mr. lull also <br /> indicated his reservations. <br /> f <br />
