NUNUTES January 30, 1997 3 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Mr. McQuaid responded, "No, they are not going t -do anything until they have <br /> authorization and we have the funds.' "They got the report in three volumes." <br /> Mr. Doherty questioned Mr. McQuaid, "What's the $2,500.00 going to buy?" <br /> Mr. McQuaid responded, `They are going to review the three volumes that are the <br /> final remediation plan and make comments as to whether it's feasible to purnp and treat at <br /> 1500' or let the rest go to the bay." <br /> Mr. Crain stated, "We should be hearing from Seleetpers n Caf 'yn soon." <br /> My. McQuaid stated, "As you recall, Mike Dior, who is the project manager for <br /> remediation activities at the base sent a letter of concern as a private citizen who lives in <br /> Mashpee." "We are also very familiar with Ed Pesce, another private resident, who <br /> works at the I.R.P. program."." "They both know the Augat situation and both know what <br /> is feasible and not feasible, what's acceptable and not acceptable as far as containing and <br /> treating these plumes." "I don't think it would be a bad idea to get their opinion on <br /> whether or not letting the remainder of that plume discharge into Shoestring Bay is <br /> feasible or not, not that we would take their word for it but they may be able to <br /> recommend someone outside of the contractor's that they have." "I ani sure the County <br /> Health Department would have a list offrons who might be more ideally suited to review <br /> the remediation plan." I will research the matter." <br /> AP TTMENT: Tony Tarn- Jade Restaurant/Smoking regulation <br /> Mr. Tony Tam and Mr. John rent were in attendance for this scheduled <br /> appointment. <br /> 11r.
