Alex Strice, abutter, contacted this office on January 2 , 1996 to <br /> voice his objection to the variance relief requested. <br /> Mr, Cram motioned to continue this matter until February 15, 1996 meeting slate, <br /> 1r. Ball seconded, all agreed. <br /> 10.) white Dods removal proposal - Brockton Iron & Steel - Mr. Doherty stated, <br /> "`Brockton Iron & Steel would like to removal our white goods." "'They are offering <br /> $40.00/ton. "I would recommend vire allow PK Contracting to match the offer. ' <br /> ""Brockton did not indicate if the CFC's wiU be removed and whether they wifl remove our <br /> propane tanks." "The opinion of the Finance Committee was it is not a serous <br /> or immediate type of situation and they should hook-up on their own." 1 could not give <br /> them a guarantee the ary would reimburse the town." `our options are to continue <br /> seeking fundin from the military, see if the water District can do anything or ask the <br /> Selectmen if they would concur we use funds from another account however, this may <br /> require Town Counsel's opi on." <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "I did contact six of the eight families.'
