Powers responded, "That"s correct." <br /> At this time the public meeting concluded. <br /> . Lincoln Bogs water 'fest - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "we received a call torn a <br /> concerned resident in the Santuit Lane area stating there was a milky white substance <br /> floating in the water in the vicinity of the abandoned Lincoln CranberryBogs." "The area <br /> is heavily overgrown." "The Herring warden and I went out to the bogs and took some <br /> v.o.c. samples which I brought to the County for analysis."' `�I r. urne from the bounty <br /> called nae and relayed . . .b. o thylbenzene and 1 p.p.b. o Toluene wee found in <br /> the sarnp les." "I notified I .E.P. who relayed the traces found would not trigger they <br /> investigation." "In speaking with Barnstable County they recommend we forward a memo <br /> to the Executive Secretary informing him of the contaminants found and that it is town <br /> ownedro erty.�' "They also recommended we get. together with. the Conservation <br /> p p <br /> Commission and D.P.W. to follow-up on the matter." "I did check with the water <br /> District as to whether there are any private Wells in the area., "There are two, one is an <br /> abandoned house the other i occupied by a seasonal resident intend to go out to that <br /> house and take a v.o.c. sample. <br /> Acknowledged. <br />
