Powers gave a slidepresentation depicting the air sparging unit which will be utilized to clean the contaminated soils and maps defming the contaminated plume dining which he stated "we expect groundwater flow to more or less go along Quaker Run and discharge into what is called Shoestring ay." "102 monitoring wells were installed between the facility and the north shore of Shoestring Bay." "The distance from the facility to the north shore of Shoestring By is about 7000 2,11 "wells were sampled and tested for .o.c.' ." "`The study has been going on for about one year.' "The concentrations that we have detected in each of the wells is two major constituents t.c.e. and .c.e. and other kinds that Augat is assuming responsibility for -the extent of the plant p r area to Shoestring Bay found in that band." "Outside those hands conta ation is below the detection liunit. "*The boundary, if you take a look at where they occur, again exercisin g inside the contamination picture, Augat will assume responsibility for its remediation.." Mr. Powers responded, "About 15' thick around the Sampson's NO Road area, ' thick around Quim'quisset axed even thicker as you go further down." Mr. Richard Alle erti from the town of Cot.uit questioned, "'Have you monitored the will wb nd well which is close to the Santuit River?" Mr. Powers responded, "Vere is no migration towards that location.,?
