O' Connor <br /> Chief of Police <br /> RE: Project application MA-79-032/Emergency Ope r ating Center <br /> Gentlemen: <br /> As you know, we received notification from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts <br /> Civil Defense Agency and Office of Emergency Preparedness that we were eligible <br /> for $37,809.50 in Federal assistance, on July 23; 1979, to establish an E.O.C. <br /> within the Mashpee Police Department. <br /> I am writing to provide information on the present status of the grant application <br /> and recommend action to facilitate expenditure of these monies in establishing the <br /> proposed facility. <br /> The original E.O.C. design was approved, contingent on the following structural <br /> modifications and equipment provisions: <br /> A. Installation modifications <br /> toilet/men and women in basement <br /> A. <br /> kitchen in basement-similar to the fixtures located in the upstairs <br /> squad room <br /> lyo� le wall in haqement at outside door <br /> 4. 14-day reserve fuel - supply tank for emergency genera or <br /> These items are basic to any future E.O.C. planning and are eligible for funding. <br /> However, as of this writing, I am unaware of any target date for complying with <br /> these grant requirements. <br /> The items eligible for funding already purchased and installed are as follows: <br /> ITEM APPROVED AMOUNT <br /> 1. 1 Base Transceiver (police) $ ,2,800 <br /> 2. 1 Base Transceiver (fire) 2,800 <br /> 3. Antenna System 16,000 <br /> 4. 2 Main console command modules 10,000 <br /> 5. 1 120 volt emergency power plant 81000 <br /> 6. 14-day emergency water supply (tanks) UNKNOWN (APPLY) <br /> CRIME PREVENTION IS EVERYONE'S BUSINESS <br />
