Joseph Reardon and Chester <br /> A. Garland. <br /> Chairman O' Connell called the mettitq to order at 2 : 15 .m. <br /> First order of business : Hearing- to Grant a Liquor license <br /> to DeFa io' s Pizzeria, New Seabury Shoppinq Center. The legal' <br /> notice was read, and he thea asked Peter and Angela O' Donnell, <br /> lessors of the Pizzeria, to state their reasons for requesting <br /> the license, <br /> 1 . wire and beer compliment the Italian food <br /> they will be serving. <br /> . They will strictly observe the laws regulating <br /> hours and age, no sorvl ' T of minors . <br /> . That the wine will be served in bottles , and beer <br /> in pitchers only when accompanied by an order <br /> for food. <br /> . There will '-.not be a bar. <br /> Mr, O' Donnell stated they are presently asking for only a seasonal <br /> license. However, if. business warrants , they may return to request <br /> an annual license. <br /> Chairman O'Connell asked if there were any probonents in the audience <br /> who wished to speak. Elizebeth Simpson ,..indicated ?ger pleasure that <br /> a young couple were interested in starting a business in the Town. <br /> Elizabeth SimDson of Mashpee Historical Commission told the selectmen <br /> a letter has been sent to Boston University re westing the helm of <br /> a professor or graduate student in researching historic town buildings <br /> but no answer has been received. She asked if a follow up letter <br /> would be appropriate. Mrs . Simpson said a survey must be completed 4 <br /> of the buildings before any - government funds can be obtained for their <br /> upkeep* <br /> Chairman O' Connell announced letters have been seat out to 25 residents <br /> requesting their service on the Town Council of the Arts , Mrs , <br /> Simpson' stated that at least eight people have res oned. A meeting <br /> will be held on Wednesday, March 26 , 1980 at 4 p.m. <br /> Mrs. Simpson reported the C.E.T.A. crew had done a fine job of eleani n <br /> up the Old Fire station, but expressed concern that the old siren had <br /> been remo re-d. Chairman O' Connell assured her that the old siren <br /> had been removed for preservation, and that it will cost $700 . 00 <br />
