Simpson the date of the Salute to Spring which is April '.l , 1980 , and if the Garden Club to take care f the flower boxes for the Police/Fire Stations and the Town Hall . Mrs . Simpson said she would look into this matter. At 2 : 30, Chairman O'Connell called to order the hearing for distribution f the Revenue Sharing Funds . There was little discussion on this matter, Chairman O' Connell said in the past, the money has been used for expenses .incurred .under special articles in town meetings and that the finance committee usually recommends mends which articles should be- funded bar Revenue sharing and which should be paid for out of taxes . The money has routinely been used for police and fire salaries in the past, Chairman O' Connell reminded those present of the 4% Tax Cap and that there is no special provision made to exclude items that will be reimbursed in the future. Chairman O' Connell announced the meeting of the South Cane Beach Ad visory Qommittee meeting for Wednesday, March 26 , 1980 at 7 n.m. at the Town Hall cafeteria, to discuss alternatives to the State taking of south Cape Beach. i Elizabeth Simpson suggested a Town official appeal to off-Cape p pl y=. ha -own _land ire Mash to Ming pressure to bear n their legislators -to support the bill, she stated this can be done through the P nninsula Newsletter which will be TDublished soon. i At 3 p.m. , Chairman O' Connell recognized Mr. John Barry, who had proiDosal to operate a concession at south Cape Beach this summer. The Selectmen ex laind to him that it would be inappropriate for them to hear his proposal at this time, as it will be necessary to ad- vertise and set a time for all interested 3Darties to present proposals . The specified bid openinc will be for Al ril 9 , 1980 , at 3 p.m. resident asked about toilet facilities . That xrvisios have been -made at the Beach for this summer Mr. O'Connell stated that there `ill again be port-a-johns , but more of them, this year. William Hanson asked to be recognized, He stated that he has been examir in the well roblerr at the libra-rFy. has dome tests and is awaiting further direction* His best estimate is that a 63foot well will be required to accomodate the 42 gallon tank that is it the library. He presented a written estimate of 8943 . 00 for the well, and asked if an article should go into the special Town meeting to cover the cost. The selectmen asked the Chairman of the Finance Committee, Nancy Blakeman, if .she thought a transfer from the Reserve Fund was - possible. Mrs , Blakeman raise the Dossibil.ity of this money
