IL <br /> t <br /> --- MINUTE S OF THE BOARD OF, 'S ELE'C TMEN" MEE'TING <br /> 11elae'nt.: Chairman George A. Benway, .Jr. , Selectmen' Chester' A. Garland-, <br /> B. Jean Thomas and Town Counsel. <br /> F- <br /> l. Meeting was called to order at 1: 30 p.m. } y Chairman. <br /> 2. Mr. Marvin Blank, Mr, Prader, an architect, and Dick Pass from 5 <br /> Environmental Housing, met with the Board at Mr.. Blank' s <br /> rrequest to <br /> present his Quaker Run Pian. <br /> Mr. Prager stated that on Oct 2 , 1972 , a special permit was issued <br /> for 114 units ; 94 2 bedrooms and 20 single 3 or 4 bedrooms, He then <br /> presented the revised plan to the Selectmen. The plan divides - the <br /> units into two sections placed between two wellfields . It is now <br /> requested to place all 114 units, now 3 single family attached, with <br /> the wellfield on one side and one side abutting Noisy Dole Road <br /> which is undeveloped. The original permit still has the same zoning <br /> requirements. He stated that they had received verbal approval. from <br /> UD and that HUD needs the plan by August 22 , 19800 <br /> Mr. Pass then .informed the Board as to why a change in concept is <br /> necessary, i.e. , we l l fi e ld , economy, energy conservation, <br /> Concern was shown by the Board as to the impact on schools and the <br /> approach road to the development. <br /> Chairman informed then that the Board could look at this plan but <br /> that it' s really out of the Board' s jurisdiction and suggested that <br /> they get the feelings of the Planning Board and the Board of Appeals.. <br /> Selectman Garland concurred. <br /> Mr. Blank stated that they were meeting with both boards tonight. <br /> What he was really trying to do now was to get some kind of favorable <br /> approval of just the "Concept. " <br /> Board agreed that they could not do this at this time, and the first <br /> step would he with the Planning Board and Board of Appeals . .. <br /> 2. Chairman called upon Donald Blakeman who had requested to meet with <br /> the Board. <br /> Mr, Blakeman asked if he could defer his time until Mr. Collins, the <br /> Building Inspector, returned. <br /> Chairman concurred. <br /> Chairman stated that he would like to meet with the Board on Thursday, <br /> August 21, 1980 at 1 :00 p.m. i-n regards to the promotion of a new , <br /> police sergeant. <br /> 0 Mergers agreed to meet. <br />
