Our intention, the personnel Board' s <br /> intention and Sergeant cooper' s and the group ' s intention was to keep <br /> your pay going after you exhausted your sick leave. The only two ways <br /> e could do this was by wo.rkin-g into your vacation days , which was done, <br /> or by the guys putting together a sick bank. The sick bank was never <br /> put into effect. Your pay ways continued for you because we docked you <br /> vacation. In the new contract there is a provision in there for a sick <br /> bank so that this king of situation will have a solution, <br /> Selectman Thomas asked Fred is it 8 vacation days that you have lost, <br /> Mr, peters stated yes, Mr. Peters than when he talked with the- Board <br /> before it was' his understanding that the Town would .pick it u , <br /> Chairman stated that was right but we have to have a way to pick it u <br /> and the only way we can do it is through vacation or a sick bank. <br /> Mr* peters stated that he had .understood that his vacation days wouldn' t <br /> be involved. ' <br /> Chairman stated that if the Association had helped with the sick bank, <br /> this would have been the solution. <br /> Mr. Peters stated that the Association had voted sometime back for each <br /> person to donate 2 or 3 days but that's still under contract, I guess. <br /> Selectman Thomas said- she thought that was the purpose of the meeting <br /> with the personnel Board. <br /> Mr. Rich stated that they never mentioned it at the meeting, <br /> Selectman Thomas responded that was the impression that she got from <br /> Sergeant Cooper. <br /> l _ <br />
