He stated that the estimated figure is $265 .00 , however, <br /> he would estimate $300. 00 -- $400 . 00 • <br /> i <br /> Chairman welcomed motion to -stick to daytime skating authorizing <br /> bond fires and use of. headlights but because of budget constraints , <br /> unknown numbers . of people that would participate and the light having <br /> to be on 24 hours a day, 12 months a year, that - the Board is not <br /> in a position to approve request. Notion was so moved by Selectman <br /> Thomas and seconded by Selectman Garland. Declared a vote by <br /> Chairman. <br /> Selectman Thomas suggested to the Recreation Director that he <br /> contact private organization to see if they are interested in doing <br /> somethinq like this. <br /> I <br /> Chairman -suggested he contact Jame Peterson, New seabur r Corporation. <br /> 17. Nancy Blakeman wanted -to know why a water cooler has been installed <br /> at the Highway Department. <br /> Selectman Garland, responded that . the hope was .that they could use <br /> it to rake hot coffee, soup and cool drinking water. The Acting <br /> superintendent 'of streets put in a request for it and I assume he <br /> had budgeted .for it somewhere alone the lire, and T brought it for <br /> him at wholesale. <br /> Nancy responded that she didn' t see it in the budget. <br /> Chairman stated that he would g - along with the, Department Head <br /> on, this. We don' t have a budget for. every specific item, we don' t <br /> have a l-ine item budget. <br /> Nancy stated that this is an expense that has been incurred. <br /> i <br /> Chairman asked Selectman Garland the amount of the expense . <br /> Selectman Garland responded that he didn' t reminder exactly somewhere <br /> around $230. 00. <br /> 18. Time alloted- to Press, Discussion took place it regards to <br /> Mrs . ingham" s request, Recreation Director' s request for pole ,and <br /> light, etc. <br /> 19 . Nancy Blakeman asked status of Jerry DePalmer i s request for reimbursement. <br /> Chairman stated that this is still being investigated by Town Counsel.4, <br /> 20. Fire Chief and Deputy Fire Chief ret with Board and presented there <br /> with a report of Engine .
