No action. <br /> 14) Regarding the attached letter from the Waumpanoag Indian Tribal <br /> Council, Inc. , requesting a discussion with this Board regarding <br /> retaining the services of a CETA person for the Museum, the Select- <br /> ment present felt it was more appropriate to wait until the entire <br /> Board was present to make a decision. <br /> 15) The Board moved into a discussion of the Draft Copy of the Warrant <br /> for the Special Town Meeting to be held on June 29, 1981: <br /> ARTICLE #l. Mr. Jacobson suggests the amount requested should be <br /> $14 , 000. Selectmen felt, as did Executive Secretary, it should come <br /> from ,Revenue Sharing. <br /> ARTICLE #2 Delete "sum of money" , insert $1, 500. It should come from <br /> Revenue Sharing. <br /> ARTICLE #3 Approximately $3; OOO ,wi11 beineeded. We won' t have an <br /> exact figure until the bids are 'opened on the 24th of June, which <br /> will be too late for the Warrant. Chm. Garland suggested the specs <br /> • should require a roll bar on the vehicle. <br /> ARTICLE #4 The Highway Expense account is running out of money, they <br /> have only bought one pair of work shoes this year. When the Executive <br /> Secretary contacted the Superintendent regarding using a common <br /> supplies for work shoes, he learned Mr. Jacobson had already contacted <br /> Knapp Shoes as a source for future purchases. <br /> ARTICLE #5 This is a Board of Health Article. The Selectmen present <br /> felt that when an amount for salaries has been budgeted, it is up to <br /> that Board to live within it' s budget. <br /> ARTICLE #6 No comments. <br /> ARTICLE V. This Article should read "Submitted by Tax Collector" <br /> ARTICLE #8 No comments. <br /> ARTICLE #9 This transfer request is due to overlap in service of <br /> Town Accountants, Joan Muse and Ken Culp. <br /> ARTICLE #10 This is required because we simply have had too many elec- <br /> tions this year. <br /> ARTICLE #11 These funds of $3 , 500 will be primarily for plumbing re- <br /> quirements, and also to repair the roof. The Selectmen heartily <br /> • support this Article. <br /> ARTICLE #12 The Executive Secretary does not recommend including this <br /> Article, requested by the Recreation Director. The Exec. Secretary <br /> feels the Selectmen should retain control of the beaches, through the <br /> Executive Secretary and the Recreation Director. Sel. Thomas feels <br />
