The Town Counsel advises the Town to in-� <br /> silt on a Bond or Passbook, as required in the specifications . <br /> It is known that Mr. . Labell is going to challenge the award be- <br /> cause uire ents have not been precisely el <br /> aue the contra , y complied <br /> with, but this decision was made by the Board. However , Chm. <br /> Garland stated the Town should give Newtowne Construction Co, who <br /> received -the award, only until. the 23rd to come up with the re- <br /> quired Bond or Passbook. The Executive Secretary will notify <br /> Tewtowne of this decision, by letter. <br /> Ir. Gourdin's Class II License application consideration will be <br /> laced on next Wednesday-'s .Agenda ;for- action. In the meantime',, , <br /> the Executive -Secretary was directed to write t6 Mr' ., ourdine and <br /> in uir•e if he has, in fact, leased his building, and does he still <br /> want the License. <br /> 9)- The Executive Secretary has checked with the ABCC - sub-managers <br /> of liquor establishments do not have to meet the definition of <br /> t�good character" . To effect this trans- <br /> fer, two articles will be needed ,in 'the next Town Meeting - one t <br /> authorize the position, and one to fund it# <br /> 1.1. The Executive Secretary has received a call from the School. Committee <br /> relative. to the School Building Committee. They do not think -the <br /> tennis courts will he finished by June 30 , 1981 - the date set for <br /> termination of the Building Committee. The Selectmen made the de- �t <br /> i.sion to terminate the Committee on June 30, as planned, and this <br /> Board will assume responsibility for the completion of the courts. <br /> Selectmen s C'onoerns <br /> Sel. Thomas suggested a Letter be read at the Special Town Meeting, com- <br /> mending all those who were involved in the successful execution of the <br /> drug raid. <br /> Chm. Garland stated he is still concerned about liability with regard to <br /> the Harbormaster. Executive Secretary will check with Town Counsel on <br /> this matter, <br /> Sel. Thomas has received a request from the Library Trustees to have some <br /> parking spaces designated as "reserved" in {their lot. The Selectmen <br /> agreed to have five spaces so designated, <br />
