BOARD OF SELECTMEN
TOWN OF MASHPEE
• MEMO -
TO: Board of SelectmPER
FROM: Executive Secreta
DATE: November 25 , 1981
RE: Portable Classy oms
Dr. Nicholson and Mr. McBride visited the portable
classrooms today and explained an idea they plan to
present to the school committee in mid-December. They
feel that the portables are deteriorating and use should
be mad of them. They would like to see one moved to the -
athle is facilities at the middle school to be used as a
combination of sanitary/storage facility. To pay for this
• move , they suggest that the other two could be sold by the
town.
They recognize that before this happens , the school
committee would have to vote . to turn the portables back
to the town. Their plan is still on the drawing board.
Z suggested to them the town may want to retain the
portables at this building for storage, administrative use,
etc. They note that the cost of heating the units (electric
heat) may make it prohibitive for us to use as office space.
Another thought is- to move one to South Cape Beach for
storage, concessions, bath facilities.j
11.C L• r/cam`/7Z
C
I
