,, <br /> Officer will keep Police Dispatcher informed of his/her <br /> location at all times while on duty. <br /> A current list of all animals (dogs , cats , etc. ) picked-up <br /> and their locations will be maintained by the police clerk/dis- <br /> patcher as provided by the animal control officer. <br /> A ledger will be maintained by the Chief' s secretary <br /> reflecting financial transactions with the Town designated Kennel <br /> (Tem-Rock Kennel) . <br /> The Officer will perform other related duties as directed <br /> by the Chief of Police or his designee. <br /> Budget <br /> Add to Police 'Rages 7,778. 96 <br /> Reduce Blue Cross 1,070. 00 <br /> Additional Unemployment Insurance 4 ,600. 00 <br /> Liability (first year only) <br /> 11, 308. 96 <br /> This allows for 1 Officer to work full-time two days <br /> per week, two weeks of full time training for each of the <br /> • two officers , for an estimated 20 hours Per week of dog officer <br /> call in during a four month Summer period and ten hours during <br /> the off season. <br /> I would leave the expense budget untouched, although <br /> I suspect it could be reduced considerably. <br /> The net savings for the first year would be about $1 ,000. 00 <br /> although the subsequent savings would be higher because of the <br /> termination of unemployment insurance benefits. <br />
