Murphy, Jr. <br /> Chairman Garland reported on soine .complaints he had received from Belle <br /> Steiner, who had also spoken to Sel . Thomas, Ms . Steiner maintains her <br /> recently completed condominium does not conform to the requirements- of <br /> the State Building Code. Mr. Garland has asked the Building Inspector <br /> and the Fire Chief, to- check out her complaints. <br /> 1 Retroactive Pay for Firefi titers : It does not appear that the fire- <br /> fighters retroactive pay will be ready for thea this week they are <br /> very upset. The .material was in the Accountant ' s hands last Thursday, <br /> but apparently there were problems- which - he did not communicate to the <br /> Fire 'Department's Clerk Dispatcher until Friday or Monday. <br /> Mr. Murphy reported that M `. Culp had stated he -would not be able to <br /> meet with this' Board on Wednesday, as he had planned -to take the day <br /> off. <br /> 2 on proposed promiton of James Soltis , the Board agreed to it being on <br /> the Agenda the next day 7 they are prepared to vote affirmatively. <br /> on the Quaker Run question, Mr. Murphy explained. that the B oard of <br /> Appeals - is looking to other Boards for support in their contemplated <br /> plan to Appeal. They still feel the application should b denied, <br /> el. Thomas stated she believes they ]snow that down the line their <br /> appeal will fail. Chinn. Garland stated that the Board of Appeals hopes <br /> that the 'developer' s availability of .funds will run out. <br /> Mr. Murphy noted that i,s this Board would -vote publicly not to support <br /> the Board of Appeals , it would create some problems between the Boards . <br /> So it is best to know in advance if this Board is willing to tote- to <br /> support the Board of Appeals. Chm..- Ga l stated that he is personally <br /> in favor of -their action, even though his obj-ection may not have legal <br /> grounds for support. He just has not seen evidence that they w'on't have <br /> .problems getting sufficient water for the residents . He is also still <br /> very concerned about all the traffic - that will be exiting and entering <br /> onto Route 2 . <br /> el. Thomas said she is not sure of all the reasons the Board of Appeals <br /> is using for grounds for their , appeal , but she feels it is a better de- <br /> velopment <br /> e- <br /> velo me t than some of the others down there. Her main concern is still <br /> the water. Chm, Garland instructed Mr. Murphy to place the question on <br /> the Agenda for the following day. <br /> Great oak Road Speed Limits: Chm, Garland stated that if South Cape <br /> Beach takeover results in the State doing something about the road, the <br /> question of speed downthere will be. taken care of. Also, he pointed out, <br /> one property owner claims the road encroaches on his property. But there <br /> were no objections to establishing the new speed limits, <br /> ) Catch Basins on. Pirate ' s Cove: Chm. Garland suggested the question <br /> of who has the responsibility for repairing the catch basins should -be <br /> put to Town Counsel, Mr. Murphy pointed, out it will cost money to get <br />
