They agreed it sho lld �o on the next Spceial or <br /> Annual Town Meeting, to he acted on as soon as possible. <br /> The Se1e tj. He <br /> feels she -would be a real asset to the Committee. Sel Thomas suggested <br />' that she he recommended to the Chairman of the Growth Study Committee, and <br /> perhaps he would want to invite her to talk to himself and his committee, <br /> and sena his recommendation to this Board. Agreed. <br /> The Executive Secretary feels it might be appropriate to hold a discussion <br /> in Executive Session tomorrow with the Police and Fire Chief, to discuss <br /> the subjects ects ro osed on the Briefing Sheet, as they do effect the security <br /> of the Town. Agreed. Chm, Garland feltconcern about raking the waterways <br /> Patrolmen Special Police officers . He is also concerned about recommending <br /> additional monies for these services . <br /> Mr. Murphy explained that this is going along with the plan to dive the <br /> voters a score card, find out what services will cost, give thea the <br /> options , and let them goose what they want or need the most. He pointed <br /> out that if a b oat is to be purchased, it doesn' t have to 1e new - it <br /> can be used. <br /> Relative to ,informing the voters of how much they can- spend, he reported <br /> that the Finance Committee is preparing a graph. Mr. Murphy stated that <br /> a bill was passed by the General court yesterday pertaining to Prop �, <br /> but he does not yet know the contents- of the hill. <br /> The Selectmen discussed the size boat needed. It was pointed out that <br /> specs would have to he drawn up. Sel. Thomas stated that an old Coast <br /> Guard Duck Boat would he ideal. She asked if the wades and expenses <br /> sho ldn"t be broken down -separately; Mr. Murphy said this was not necessary. <br /> However, he estimates the. breakdown will be approximately $1, 500 for wades , <br /> and $500 for expenses . <br /> - Mr. - Murphy .explained his Memorelative to license fee increases; since <br /> r it is mostly the liquor license holders who get the ether licenses , <br /> expecially for entertainment, and they have -been hit with one increase <br /> this year for - their liquor- license, he is reluctant to increase the fees <br />
