She reported the Boy Scouts and Cub scouts would be <br /> handling the trees , and we are most . grateful. for their willingness <br /> to assume responsibility for this pro3ect. She also reported that <br /> the Lioness ' would be serving them hot chocolate. It was suggested <br /> that someone would need to notify the Council on Aging, and make a <br /> sign or two to direct people as to where they should leave their' <br /> trees in the parking lot. <br /> el Garland stated that a telegram had gone out -the day before over his <br /> signature, and he had not been consulted about it. Although he would <br /> have signed- the telegram, he would prefer- to be Consulted .before such <br /> action is taken in- the future, The unusual circumstances that prompted <br /> the hasty decision to send the telegram before the south Casae Beach <br /> legislation was brought to the floor, was explained to Chm. Garland, <br /> alone with apologies . <br /> hm. Garland reported on the good results of the previous 'night' s meet- <br /> ing with representatives of the Mashpee , Wampanoag Tribal Council, Inc. <br /> He felt there were good indications of the desire to cooperate from the <br /> Tribal representatives , and the Selectmen. Mr. Murphy reported comments - <br /> he has received from some Town employees' . whose' nares - were listed as <br /> plaintiffs in the suit.
