Hanson referred to the Board allowing e +r Seabury an <br /> e.xtensi.on for renovations and only for khat reason. Town Co.unsel <br /> spoke on the elimination- of the quota in Barnstable County and <br /> that perhaps they should apply for a seasonal license. Mr. <br /> Devane explained -that they are in the process. o f ownership change4p <br /> He reiterated the -.problems they had .and that, they are trying. <br /> He also said that they could be open tomorrow. sel. Garland <br /> made the suggestion that the' permit be extended until midnight <br /> February 15, 1983 with instructions to the Building l.nspctor <br /> and the Board of Health. Discussion continued, Motion by Sel . <br /> Garland to extend the closing of Quashnet Valley Country Club, <br /> to expire at 12 : 00 ,m.., February- 1 , 1 providing all permits <br /> are. obtained from the Hoard of Health and a schedule of. hours <br /> be furnished to the Board on February 16f 1983. - Town Counsel <br /> asked if the -request is in writting, Town Counsel explained that <br /> the request has to be in writting from Mr, Umina as he is the <br /> license holder. Sel. Garland moved to suspend this part of the <br /> meeting until Mr. Umina arrives . <br /> Mr. Charles Hicks , Civil Defense Director carne to ask the Board if his <br /> petition would be accepted and the following article be placed on the <br /> next Town meeting, The article is fore the Board of Selectmen to convey <br /> lana owned by the Town to the Mashpee - .F.w. -,Memorial Post 5489 , Motion <br /> . y <br /> sel. Garland to accept the petition. Seconded by Sel . Hanson. This is <br /> a unanimous vote. <br /> oo p4m, - Mr. Brian Harrison care to the Board to ask for a. waiver of <br /> a Sunday permit; He explained that this is a self help group <br /> who have to donate thirty hours a week in order to be eligible <br /> and they build their own home. Most of there are in a low- income <br /> criteria and cannot do this work except on Sundays . Board <br /> informed Mr, - Harrison that'..the Police Chief is the only one who <br /> can issue this permit, and that. the fee is $2 . 00 . After dis� <br /> cussing this , the Board decided to remand the sweet back to <br /> the Police Chief. Board thanked Mr. Harrison for corning. <br />
