Garland suggests <br /> that the Board go on record that they are interested in getting the best <br /> qualified person to fulfill that job and that they do not necessarily <br /> mean that they are attempting to promote from within. He said if it <br /> turns out that one of the two from the present force is a finalists so <br /> be it, He feels that the Selectmen should go on record for the Personnel <br /> Board that this- is a wide open examination for a Chief of Fire 'Department <br /> regardless of where the 'individual comes fro-m.- chr , Thomas said 'that <br /> at loo ing at a few of the -applications and the job description which <br /> doesn' t apply t all of them therefore that eliminates fear.
