Board reviewed letter from Mr. Paul K. Jacob regarding a boy scout <br /> camping trip on Wa eb - Pond .on April. 30 , 1.9 83.. Motion by Sel . Hanson <br /> to approve the request. . Chm.. Thomas said. that the fire and polic.e. <br /> department should, be notified as well as the recreation department. <br /> Seconded by Chm. Thomas , Note was two in favor.. One abstained. <br /> 3. n the letter from fir-. Andrew R. Boeh. regarding the water le rel of <br /> Johne s Pond -and the flooding of his- cellar, the Board ,recommended. a <br /> letter be sent. to fir. Boch informing him that -they are working on <br /> the problem and are trying - to . ta] e corrective measures . <br /> . -Board discussed the memo from Police Chief Frye -regarding a transfer <br /> of funds of $2 , 600 . 00- to the -Police - Wage Account. Request was denied <br /> t this time as' the Board felt that a breakdown on why the money was <br /> - needed was in. order, Sel. Garland. suggested and moved for an ampli- <br /> fication of the reason whir the money is needed. Seconded by S-el., <br /> Hanson. This is a vote . <br /> . n the letter from Mr, Timothy A. Mantalos. regarding the condition <br /> f Uncle 'Percr ' s Road, the Board recommends that a letter be sent <br /> to Mr, Mantalos expressing their' concerns . Superintendent of Streets <br /> will be informed of this matter when he arrives . <br /> . on the letter- from Mr., G, H. Garnett of Precision Emergency Vehicles , <br /> Sel.. Garland explained that as bidders for a new ambulance they were <br /> informing the Board that their bid price remains- the same. Sel. <br /> Garland said this was ,only informational. w' <br /> 2 : 30 .m. r. .Da vid Hamblin- from Commonwealth Electric carne to the <br /> continuation of the public hearing for their request- to <br /> install a polen Route 28. Sel. Hanson had a few. questions . <br /> He inquired whir the pole, had to - be installed s ince- there <br /> was already two poles in that area. Mr. Hamblin explained <br /> that - those were not for the same purpose, Sel. Hanson asked <br /> if this new pole was on the Barnstable side why ' the Town of <br /> M ashpee had -to dive ermi sion. Nor. Hamblin - said that the <br /> line rums clown the center, of the road. This is to gine Mr. <br /> Tavares a floodlight for his property. Board approved the <br /> request. <br /> 3: 00 .m. Mr. . Ernest Virgilio, Supe-rintendent of Streets , had requested <br /> an- appointment with the Selectmen to discuss the repairs of <br /> the Building Inspector and Natural Resource officer cars * <br /> After discussing the matter he 'requested a transfer from <br /> Municipal Equipment- and Repair Account of $500. 00. because <br /> it cost more for than the. repairs than had been expected, <br /> Chm, <br /> xpected. - <br /> Chm, Thomas .said that what he wanted was an approval al of <br /> $500 . 00 from -Municipal Equipment and Repair Account pending <br />
