Makumas , Pauline DeLory, <br /> George Benway <br /> 2 :00- p.m. - Meeting convened by Chairman Chester~ A. Garland. <br /> Motion -by Sel. Hanson to approve the minutes of the May ' , 1983 Regular <br /> and Executive Sessions , and the may '9 , 1983 'Regular meeting. Seconded by <br /> el. Terry. Lotion carried. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS <br /> p.m. Chm. Garland opened the -public hearing on the liquor license <br /> for on The panne l; previously known as on the Rocks , No one <br /> in attendance against. Crim. Garland read the public notice <br /> on the hearing which was published ire the Falx outh Enterprise. <br /> Chm. Garland -gave the floor to- Mr. John Burke, who will be the <br /> Manager, fir. Burke stated- that this. will be the same kind of <br /> place. that it was with dancing,, mu i c, entertainment, food and <br /> alcoholic beverages .. They hope, to re-do the room on the right <br /> so that it can be used as a restaurant. <br /> Chm. Garland- asked if anyone else wanted to speak for or against <br /> the application. None . This is to be a seasonal license. <br /> el. Terry asked when they plan. to open.. fir. Burke said they <br /> were- hoping to open for - Memorial Day weekend - until October. <br /> They may even try to stay open until January-. ' <br /> el. Terror asked if they- were going to have a game room. Ir. <br /> Burke replied in the negative. They hope to be open from 11 : 30 <br /> a.r . to 1 : 00 p.m. seven days a week.. <br /> Se 1, Terry inquired if they were going to have disco or live <br /> entertainment. Mr, Bunke said there would be both. <br /> Sel. Hanson sOtatbd that this license is seasonal for the time <br /> being. <br /> Discussion followed on the present The Channel in Boston <br /> Chris. Garland asked hoar lona that one . had been opened. Nor o <br /> Burke- replied three years . <br /> el. Terry asked about security. Ir, Burke said that they would <br /> be using their own. He stated- that they usually use college <br /> men from B.0 or B.U. <br /> Chr . Garland asked Ms . Judy Howell if she was satisfied. she <br /> replied in the affirmative. <br />
