Chief Frye said that. he would require eighty hours <br /> of training which would cost the town three to four hundred dollars , <br /> He would like to have eight to ten people. <br /> Executive Secretary said that .for pratical matter they can be called <br /> up therefore the town. would be insuri-ng them for a year, The cost <br /> would depend on the numbor involved. <br /> el. Ter asked what the interest was . Chief Frye said quite a few <br /> people- are interested. He said that the Chief from Otis- wanted to <br /> be part of it. Sel. Terry .asked who would be hiring therm. Chief said <br /> that he would be screening the- applicants., Chm, Garland discussed <br /> the endenity under the civil service program. <br /> Discussion continued on uniforms , which the Chief said they would <br /> buy their own, The Town would only furnish the badges . Instructors <br /> would come on a volunteer basis * <br /> sel. Terry asked who would be in charge. Chief Frye said that they <br /> usually have a liason officer who would coordinate with- him. <br /> Chm. 'Garlandug ested that 'the end mnity forms be seat to Town Counsel <br /> for his opinion. <br /> Motion b sel. Ter to rove -the Chief I request with the provisio <br /> y � Pp <br /> that Town Counsel go- over the end mn.ity. seconded by Sed.. Hanson. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> NEW ,-BUSINESS:. <br /> . Board reviewed the memorandums -from Police Chief Frye recommending <br /> Marlene V, Antonson as - -Special Police officer/Matron and Perry <br /> Ellis as- a Special Police officer. Sel, Terry moved to appoint <br /> Marlene V. Antonson and .Perry. Ellis as Special Police Officers . <br /> Seconded by . el. Hanso'n. Motion Carried. <br /> Chief Frye stated than lir. Perry Ellis would let the town use <br /> his boat for water -patrl.. <br /> 7:10 P.m. - Fire Chief Harti'n came to discuss with the Board his report <br /> on Fine Department Manpower. 'Board-.all congradul.ated, the Chief <br /> for his excellent report'. His report included staffing and <br /> costs and need, He proposed. that .the depa.rtnment be increased <br /> by 1985 by four new regular's and ten callmen. Chm. Garland <br /> thanked. the .Chief and recommended the Executive S.ecretary review <br /> the report and see -what can be accomplished within the fiscal <br /> restraints . <br /> OLD' BUSINESS <br /> . Board accepted with- regrets - the request from- Mr. David Ter''ry not to be <br /> considered for reappointment to the Conservation Commissiond <br /> . on the letter from Mr. & Mrs .. Henry E. eiss'r relative to Hoophol Road <br />
