Hanson, selectman. Richard L. <br /> Terry, Town Counsel Joseph J. l eardon ,.and Executive Secretary Joseph <br /> F. Murphy. <br /> GUESTS: Jane Peterson, John Burke, Curtis Frye, Selma- Rollins ,, Anne Shaw, <br /> Vernice Polka, Anne Tanneyhill,James M, I ogut■ Gail N. Gaul art, Leo <br /> F* Kogut, Richard J. Piazza and Francis S. Brown, Chief Hatin, .Ernest <br /> Virgilio and Harold Collins . <br /> of p.m. Chairman Garland opened the public hearing on New Seabury Country <br /> Club, Inc. , relative to changing the description of the premises <br /> to include "and stands . n grounds ,' Chan. Garland read the 1-egal <br /> ad that Was published in the Enterprise- oh May 20 , 1983, Attorney <br /> Selma Rollins explained that when different organizations conte <br /> to New Seabury for functions they have to conte to the Selectmen <br /> for a permit for that day. By including this language on their <br /> license this- would be eliminated. <br /> hm. Garland .asl ed if, the day permit had ever been denied. Ms . <br /> Rollins replied in the negative. she stated that the tent- would <br /> be' right in front of the club house. Chm. 'Garland said that he <br /> feels the- request should be amended to say within 500 feet of <br /> the club house. <br /> el. Hanson said if it .is stated. as requested legally they could <br /> install a stand halfway within the golf course. <br /> hm. Garland said that .inclusion of 500 feet within the club house <br /> could tale care of that. <br /> hm. Garland asked if anyone else wanted to speak on this subject. <br /> He also asked if anyone here was opposed. <br /> Chat. Garland said that' he could entertain a motion that the change <br /> of description with the words, "a.nd stands on grounds within five <br /> hundred feet of the club'-house,, " should' bepresented. <br /> Motion by Sel . Hanson -to approve the request to change the , descrip- <br /> tion of the premises to inolude.,�"and- stands on grounds .with fV.,509 _.ft, <br /> of the club house ." Seconded by Sel, Terry, Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Sel. Hanson to accept the minutes of the- June 1 , -1983 regular meeting, <br /> Seconded by Sel. Terry. Motion carried. <br /> hm. Garland said that as long as Mr. Burke was here and the Board had to wait <br /> for Mr. Terry, he felt the Board should continue the discussion of the license <br /> of Channel Club, Inc. relative to video games, which is number one under old <br /> business . <br />
